The Lometa City Council took a moment to honor a retired police officer during its regular session last week at City Hall.
In honoring recently retired law enforcement officer Kenny Murray, Mayor Bob Butler presented him with a plaque and thanked Murray for his diligence in protecting local residents.
The council also addressed two items related to the safety of a deaf child living within the city.
