Local Walmart holds renovation ribbon cutting Friday

The Lampasas Walmart has resided at its current location for 20 years. It will celebrate its first major renovation since that time with a ribbon cutting on Friday.
Major renovation work was complete as of earlier this week, and Store Manager Victor Hermosillo said minor changes will be finished ahead of the ribbon cutting.
“Everything will be done by the 25th,” the store manager said. “That’s when we’re having our grand opening. Our chamber of commerce will be out so we can cut the ribbon like it’s brand new.”
The ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. will feature Lampasas High School cheerleaders and local vendors offering swag bags.
Hermosillo said the event is about announcing the completion of renovation work and thanking local customers for their patience.
