Funeral services were held Dec. 4 at New Covenant Church in Lampasas for former county judge Virgil Edgar Lilley. He died Dec. 1, 2021 at the age of 82 after an almost five-year battle with cancer.
Lilley was born on Oct. 17, 1939 to Virgil Thodore Lilley and Mary Agatha Wynn Lilley near Lubbock, where his family farmed. The family moved to Lampasas in 1947, when he was only 8.
