The Lampasas City Council on Monday proposed a maximum rate of $0.3370 for the upcoming fiscal year, a 14.73% decrease in the city’s tax rate.
The vote was 6-0, with Councilwoman Cathy Kuehne absent.
City officials will vote on the budget and final tax rate after a public hearing Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
The proposed rate of $0.337 per $100 tax valuation is lower than the current rate of $0.3952.
