At last Tuesday’s Kempner City Council meeting, the council OK’d the disposal of some “outdated police equipment items” which, Mayor John Wilkerson said included five handguns that are not issued. He added that the firearms were the only items worth selling.
The council agreed to donate non-handgun-related police items to the Kempner Volunteer Fire Department.
