Hike and bike trail expected to attract more tourists to Lampasas

A hike and bike trail at the 580 Sports Complex would bring opportunities for locals and visitors, city officials said.
The project has been underway slowly but surely for about 18 months, City Manager Finley deGraffenried said.
“It’s a project that had a grassroots start to it,” he said, adding that local mountain bikers had begun to create trails in the east side of the park.
