It could be another week or two before demotion of the former county jail is complete.
On Friday, Alamo 1 Environmental crew members were seen at the East Fourth Street site, dismantling the jail building that sits adjacent to several local businesses and across from the county courthouse. The demolition, which began in mid-February, is expected to be finished before the end of the month.
