Community helps family displaced by Monday house fire

A fire Monday morning destroyed the Fields family’s house on Snell Drive, but Tara Fields said her family is thankful for the help it has received from community members. MONIQUE BRAND | DISPATCH RECORD
The early-morning hours of March 15 will forever affect the Fields family.
Around 1:56 a.m., husband and father of two Brandon Fields was awakened by a power outage. With his wife Tara, they investigated the home.
“There was nothing until I looked outside, and I saw the fire,” Tara Fields told the Dispatch Record.
Within minutes, the couple and their children made it safely out of the house.
