Commissioners Court approves county budget, new tax rate

The Lampasas County Commissioners Court on Monday approved a 3.5% increase in general fund expenditures for the 2025-26 fiscal year and a one-cent decrease in the county’s tax rate.
Before action was taken during the regular meeting, County Auditor Tragina Tallant led public hearing presentations on the proposed tax rate and budgets to a small group of residents in attendance.
