The report from the May 17 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves:
Total cattle 315, compared to 245 last sale and 480 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers were $3-$5 higher; heifers $5-$7 higher. Slaughter cows were steady to $3 higher, and slaughter bulls were $3-$5 higher.
Feeder cattle accounted for 59%. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 41%.
