The report from the Oct. 12 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 556, compared to 607 last sale and 730 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $5-$7 higher. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were $3-$5 lower.
Feeder cattle accounted for 67%. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 33%.
