The April 28 Lampasas Cattle Auction report follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 354, compared to 414 last sale and 476 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $7-$10 lower. Slaughter cows were steady to $2 higher, and slaughter bulls were steady.
Feeder cattle accounted for 66 percent. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 34 percent.
