Boil water notice rescinded

A boil water notice issued on Tuesday night was rescinded on Thursday morning.

At 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, the city of Lampasas issued a boil water notice for residents west of Key Avenue due to a break discovered in a mainline near the intersection of West Fourth Street and Willis Street.

At 8:18 p.m. Tuesday, city crews completed the repair.

Lampasas City officials rescinded the boil water notice on Thursday at 11:47 a.m. after testing the water the previous day.

While the boil notice was issued for residents west of Key Avenue, City Manager Finley deGraffenried said those west of Porter Street were the most affected.
