August passed by without any triple-digit temperatures recorded at the Lower Colorado River Authority’s weather station 13 miles west-northwest of Lampasas, near Nix.
Although different areas of the county have seen varied rain totals and a few degrees’ difference in temperatures some days, it was a much milder month area-wide than August typically is.
