Archeologists to explore nearby Barnett Clovis site

Archeologists will be excavating in the Barnett Clovis Field Saturday and Sunday. Ground-penetrating radar has marked more than 100 sites to be explored in a 14-acre sand field on Chambers Creek, which is a tributary of the Pecan Bayou close to the Colorado River.
Previously, a Clovis point and Clovis polyhedral core were found in the field.
