LHS girls win Pflugerville race

JEFF LOWE | DISPATCH RECORD The Lady Badgers won the 1A-4A division of the Pflugerville Invitational on Friday, and the Badgers took second in the boys’ division.

Kyndal Moyer earned her first bronze medal of the season with her best time of 13:11.

Mackenzie Best and Taylor Moore both finished in 13:26, with Best edging out Moore for sixth place. Addison White medaled at 15th place, clocking in at 13:50. All the Lady Badger varsity runners improved their times from the previous week.

For the second week in a row, Giddings was the only team to finish ahead of the Badgers.

Taylor and Leander Glenn, which compete in the same district as Lampasas, placed third and fourth, respectively.

Three Lampasas boys medaled, including Nathan Herrin – who has finished in the top five in all three meets this season. The team’s top eight runners ran faster times than they did the week before in Temple.

“Our kids did awesome,” coach James Allison said.

On Thursday, the Badgers will compete in Gatesville. The meet starts at 8 a.m.
