Spring Ho pageant brings glitz, glamour and personality to festival

The court participated in nearly all the Spring Ho events. The girls were crowned based on their attire, attitude, interview answers and personality during the pageant.

LITTLE MISS SPRING HO

The Little Miss contest featured 19 girls ages 4 and 5 from the county.

Lauren Martin was named Little Miss Spring Ho for 2017. She is the daughter of Lee and Tammy Martin. Her sister Vivien, who won the Little Miss title last year, helped crown her during the event.

DEREK MOY | DISPATCH RECORD First runner-up was Avery Jean Boden. She is the daughter of Jaquelyn Jean Boden.

Second runner-up was Ryan Jacqueline Conger. She is the daughter of Jim and Michelle West, and Scott and Vanessa Conger.

Taking the third runnerup spot was Holley Ann Wakeman. Holley is the daughter of Jason and Misty Wakeman.

MISS SPRING HO

After the pageant for younger entrants concluded, nine high school-age teens were featured, vying for the crown and scholarship awards.

Kara Boatner was named 2017 Miss Spring Ho by the judges. She is the daughter of Glen and Jana Boatner.


Last year’s Miss Spring Ho Samantha Hudson pins the crown on Kara Boatner’s hair after she was named queen. Kara impressed both the judges and audience with her extracurricular activities, school achievements and poise.

She is the daughter of Edward and Regina Martinez.

Diane Hurst claimed the second runner-up title. She is the daughter of Daryl and Tami Hurst.

Rounding out the Miss Spring Ho Court with her third runner-up finish was Addie Chism. She is the daughter of James and Keri Chism, and Josh and Peggy Cooper.

The pageant kicks off the weeklong festival in Lampasas. Before the event, live music was performed by Jordan Cummings, LeeAnn Hamilton and John Groves.
