Diaper Derby pits crawlers, toddlers in race

DEREK MOY | DISPATCH RECORD The Spring Ho Diaper Derby featured crawling, walking and falling across the finish line for multiple age groups of young competitors. The fast babies and toddlers were awarded blue, pink and white ribbons according to their place across the finish line.

0-9 MONTHS

First place went to Krew Dimas, followed by Nicole Casbeer, and in third was Mashon Marchbanks.

Krew’s parents are Patch and Bre Dimas. Nicole’s parents are Sean and Mabrie Casbeer. Mashon’s parents are Krista McDonald and Christopher Marchbanks.

10-12 MONTHS

Heat one: First-place finishers tied, meaning Kashley Bocanegra and Benjamin Williams were the winners. Riley Grace came in second.

Kashley’s mother and father are Danielle Moorman and Brodi Bocanegra. The parents of Benjamin are Holli and Andrew Williams. Riley’s parents are Tabatha and Ryan Grace.

Heat two: Landon Smith crossed the finish line first, followed by Hezekiah Thomas and then Mia Munoz.

Landon is the son of Dakota and Brooke Smith. Hezekiah’s parents are Brandon and Amanda Thomas. Mia is the daughter of Veronica and Noah Munoz.

13-15 MONTHS

The first toddler across the finish line was Dan Dishman. He was followed by Jasmine Martinez and Aleyna Gonzales.

Dan’s parents are Dan and Ashley Dishman. Jasmine is the daughter of Britney Powell and Kevin Martinez. Aleyna’s parents are Destiny Kyzer and Jesse Gonzales.

16-19 MONTHS

Seth Kuykendall took first place in a quickly paced match. Arden Acheè was the second-place finisher. A tie for third place went to Trenton Buckran and Kaden Castro.

Seth’s parents are Katie and Matt Kuykendall. Arden is the daughter of Zane and Megan Ache√®. Trenton is the son of Lauren and Donald Buckran. Mary Ballance is the parent of Kaden.

20-24 MONTHS

First-place finisher Noah Hernandez stormed across the race mat set up at the Lampasas County Courthouse bandstand. He was followed by Hazel Cecil, who took second, and Braelynn Baggerly rounded out the top three finishers.

Noah is the son of Ashley and Eric Hernandez. Tabitha Kepler is Hazel’s mother, and Braelynn’s parents are Brody and Darcey Baggerly.
