Drug charges top recent arrests

The following arrests were reported recently by area law enforcement officials.

Oct. 14

– Isreal Alvarez, 26, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana under two ounces. He remained in the Lampasas County Jail Wednesday afternoon.

– Dwhite James Wright, 34, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana under two ounces and a parole violation. Wright remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon.

– Monica Ann Aleman, 31, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana under two ounces. She was still in the county jail Wednesday.

– Steven Vance Rodgers, 38, of Kempner for assault family/ house member/impede breath/ circulation. He was still in jail Wednesday afternoon.

Oct. 12

– Burton Oliver Carlson, 42, of Copperas Cove on a Lampasas Police Department warrant for hindering a secured creditor over $20,000 and under $100,000. He posted bond the same day and was released from jail.

– Wendy Ann Carlson, 40, of Copperas Cove on a Lampasas Police Department warrant for hindering a secured creditor over $20,000 and under $100,000. She bonded out the same day.

– Jose Rosario Gonzalez, 41, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated third or more. Bond was posted Sunday.

Oct. 11

– Deryl Lewis Taylor Jr., 35, of Killeen for driving while intoxicated with an open container, second offense. He was released after making bond Saturday.

– Macy Pehl Lunsford, 19, of Lampasas for assault causing bodily injury/family violence. He made bond Saturday.

Oct. 9

– Nick Cruz Hernandez, 20, of Lampasas on Lampasas Police Department warrants for forgery of a financial instrument and evading arrest or detention. He bonded out of jail Tuesday,

– Cindy Leigh Hon, 43, of Marble Falls for driving while intoxicated with an open container. She made bond Oct. 10.

– Jason Heath Martin, 44, of Burnet for burglary of a coinoperated or collection machine. He was still in jail Wednesday afternoon.

– Justin Clay O’Neal, 20, of Lampasas on a Lampasas Police Department warrant for forgery of a financial instrument. He remained in custody Wednesday afternoon.

Oct. 8

– Vance Andrew Helzer, 44, of Kempner for driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest/ search or transport. He posted bond Oct. 9.

– Vance Henry Helzer, 18, of Kempner for evading arrest or detention and disorderly conduct. He made bond Oct. 9.

– Joseph Lee Otis, 29, of Harker Heights for burglary of a building. He remained in jail Wednesday afternoon.

Oct. 6

– Eli Garrett Joy, 43, of Lampasas for purchase/ furnish alcohol to a minor and interference with public duties. He posted bond the same day.

– Chevy Luic Vega, 25, of Lampasas for purchase/furnish alcohol to a minor. He bonded out the same day.

Oct. 5

– Jose Alberto Avila-Aguilar, 23, of Killeen for driving while intoxicated. He remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon.

– Cody Ray Montgomery, 20, of Lampasas for driving under the influence by a minor. He was released to see the judge.

– Annie Marie Valadez, 55, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance under one gram and driving while license invalid with a previous conviction. She bonded out the same day.

– Dustin Dwayne Wiles, 24, of Lampasas for purchase/furnish alcohol to a minor. He made bond the same day.

Oct. 3

– Paula Hooten Deakin, 47, of Kempner for driving while intoxicated, second offense. She was released on bond Oct. 7.

Oct. 2

– Wendy Rene Cochran, 36, of Bertram on two counts of forgery of a financial instrument. She was still in jail as of Wednesday afternoon.

– Jason David Mengden, 33, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated with an open container and a warrant for driving while license invalid. He remained in custody Wednesday.
