Mr. Arms

Leander resident Mickey Lanier Arms died Sept. 10, 2012, at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin. He was 55.

Visitation is Sept. 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Funeral services are Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Arms was born Nov. 10, 1956, in Beeville, the son of J.D. and Vastine Lynch Arms.

He grew up in Lampasas.

Mr. Arms attended the police academy and was a police officer in Williamson County and Central Texas.

Survivors include daughters, Crystal Dobbs and husband. Richard, of Leander, Kimberly DuFresne and husband, Lionel, of Killeen, Maggie Arms and Annie Arms; brothers, Jimmy Ray Arms of Albuquerque, N.M., Wesley Arms of Lampasas, and Lawerence Lloyd Arms of Palestine; sisters, Joyce Hieney, Patsy Dunlap and Nancy Lindsey, all of Lampasas, Laura Arms of Cedar Park, Betty Ackerman of Splendora, Donna Daniel of Knoxville, Tenn., Jannetta Kattner of Copperas Cove and Rosemary Smith of Belton; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby, Charles, Marvin and Donald, and a sister, Nelda Foshion.
