The Lampasas County Extension Service will hold a private pesticide applicator training and testing Feb. 29 for individuals who need to acquire the Texas Department of Agriculture license required to purchase and use restricted pesticides.

Training will be at the Lampasas County Annex Conference Room, 409 S. Pecan St., beginning at 8 a.m. with registration.

The session will begin at 8:15 a.m.

A $75 registration fee includes lunch, study materials and reference manuals.

Following lunch, a TDA representative will be available to administer the test, which takes about one hour.

Pre-registration is required at the county Extension office. Training is limited to the first 20 paid participants.

Materials should be picked up at least two weeks prior to the training.
