DWI charge nets probation for local man
In recent 27th District Court action, Kevin Cory Havins, 26, of Lampasas was given 10 years’ probation and a $1,000 fine for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.
Lonnie Gene Simmons, 48, of Killeen was given five years’ probation and a $1,000 fine for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. In addition, Simmons must pay court costs and attorney fees.
For kidnapping, Kacey Aneal Cobb, 36, of Kempner received one year of probation and a $250 fine.
Arraignment is Feb. 10 for Joseph Antonio Sanchez, 29, of Lampasas for assault on a public servant. He also faces an April 30 jury trial for aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury.
A hearing is set Feb. 10 for 44-year-old Blair Duane Wright. The Buena Vista, Colo., resident is charged with bond jumping.
Pretrial hearings are Feb. 10 for Clayton Elliott Davidson, 33, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; Melissa Nycole Mowrey, 19, of Humble for possession of a controlled substance over one gram and less than four grams; Michael Kenny Hill, 50, of Corpus Christi for bond jumping, and theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; Holli Ann Rosales, 33, of Lampasas for manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance over four grams and less than 200 grams; Dean Randall Chestek, 44, of Copperas Cove for two counts of possession of a controlled substance less than one gram; and Joe Aleman, 36, for assault family/household member with previous conviction.
An adjudication hearing is Feb. 10 for Nick Cruz Hernandez, 19, of Lampasas for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Blas Andrew Gonzales, 18, of Lampasas is set for an adjudication hearing Feb. 17. He is charged with burglary of a building.
Feb. 17 pretrial hearings are scheduled for Jose Felix Ortiz for accident involving serious bodily injury/death; and for Christopher Lee O’Bryan, 31, of Lampasas for harassment of a public servant.
Edgar Eduardo Hernandez-Ortiz, 31, of Lampasas faces a Feb. 17 plea hearing for burglary of a building.
For burglary of a habitation, 34-year-old Copperas Cove resident Rey David Ochoa is set for a Feb. 27 jury trial.
Pleas are expected to be entered March 9 by Robert Joe Nelson, 17, of Lampasas for unauthorized use of a vehicle; Michelle Lee Stockton, 38, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance over 28 grams in a drug-free zone; John Charles Rice, 35, of Copperas Cove for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; and Michael Douglas Smith, 22, of Copperas Cove for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000.
Philip Edward Ramirez, 33, of Lampasas is to have a March 9 hearing before the judge. He is charged with aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury.
March 19 jury trials are scheduled for Julian Delacruz, 43, of Lampasas for assault family/ household member with previous conviction, and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance over four grams and less than 200 grams; and Bronson Joe Rogers, 34, of Lampasas for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance over four grams and less than 200 grams.
Justin James Honey, 28, of Kempner faces an April 13 adjudication hearing on a charge of criminal mischief.
Jury trials are slated April 30 for Reyes Anthony Sanchez, 30, of Lampasas for aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury; Rogelio Mauricio- Meave, 32, for aggravated sexual assault of a child and prohibited weapons; Daniel Adam Cantu, 28, of Lampasas for aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury; and Paul Anthony Reyna, 38, of Kempner for assault family/household member with previous conviction.
