Thomas Mattson Lampasas Middle School seventhgrader Thomas J. Mattson was selected to the Junior High All-Region Choir at tryouts Jan. 21 at Temple High School.

About 100 middle school tenors performed.

Mattson finished in ninth place out of the 26 who made the choir.

He will peform with the choir Saturday at 5 p.m. at Shoemaker High School.

Mattson is the son of Robert and Sandra Mattson.
