NFL
Former Lampasas Badger Keith Null recently was cut by the St. Louis Rams.
The quarterback played in the Rams’ final four games of the season and started the last three during his rookie campaign. Null passed for 566 yards and three touchdowns.
PARADE
The Lampasas High School Student Council is inviting the public to attend its annual homecoming parade Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
The parade route begins on Ave. B and will pass through the intersection at Chestnut and Third Street before ending at the courthouse square.
Following the parade, there will be a pep rally.
The Badger varsity football team plays its homecoming game against Leander Rouse next Friday.

The Lampasas High School Volleyball Booster Club will hold its annual Dessert Night on the Court fundraiser Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. in the LHS gymnasium.
In addition to a volleyball contest involving Lady Badgers, community members, LISD coaches, parents and students, there will be numerous desserts on site, and a silent auction will be conducted.
Entry fee is $2 per person, and all of the evening’s proceeds go to the booster club.

LHS
Lampasas all-sport athletic passes for the 2010-2011 season are available at the Lampasas High School athletic office.
The pass authorizes entry into all athletic events sponsored by the school district and held in Lampasas, with the exception of varsity football games.
In addition to granting the holder access to events, the pass also permits immediate family to attend. Cost is $75.

SOCCER
The Tri-City Express girls’ soccer team is seeking players ages 14-18 to participate in the upcoming fall season.
The Express competes in the Capitol Area Youth Soccer Association and travels throughout the greater Austin area to compete.
All home matches and practices, however, will be held in Lampasas.
Openings for other teams are also available.
The Lampasas Soccer Association will field teams in the U-12 boys, U-14 boys and U-16 boys divisions. All boys’ teams accept girls to teams and currently have girls on their rosters.
