Funeral services were Sept. 7, 2010, at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth for James L. McDonald Sr. Dr. Clyde Glazener officiated the services. Burial followed at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Mr. McDonald died Sept. 3 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born Feb. 23, 1934, in Marfa. Mr. McDonald worked for 32 years for the U.S. Postal Service, mostly as an electronic technician.
He liked to repair things, electrical and mechanical, and helped his neighbors with projects.
Mr. McDonald lived in Edgecliff Village for 41 years. He was a Methodist. He also had lived in Lometa, where he graduated from high school.
Survivors are his wife, Nora McDonald of Fort Worth; son James Lamarr McDonald Jr. and wife Pam of Fort Worth; stepdaughter Sherry Bonds and husband Paul of Heath; grandchildren J.L. McDonald III, David Lee McDonald and Austin Bonds; two brothers, his twin John McDonald of Leroy and Harold McDonald of Irving; and numerous other relatives.
