Club slates watercolor demonstration

The Lampasas Art Club held its August meeting at the Lampasas Art Gallery on Third and Live Oak with president Lillian Perkins presiding.

Two new members, Grace Mains and Blanca DeAegria, were welcomed.

Member Clayton Roberts has his work on display in the gallery now.

Among the upcoming activities planned is a watercolor demonstration by Elaine Wagner for members and guests at the Sept. 13 meeting.

Also, Sheila Ringer was selected Artist of the Month for September. Her work may be seen in a special display in the gallery foyer throughout the month.

Members were reminded that several local banks also provide space for members to display their art, and it should be rotated on a regular basis.

For the Herb & Art Fest in October, members plan to hold a bake sale.

After the meeting, those in attendance visited and had refreshments provided by Ms. Wagner.

The club meets the second Monday each month at 1:30 p.m. at 415 E. Third St. Guests are welcome.

For more information, call 556-9755 or come by the gallery Tuesday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
