Dr. Sartor Officials with Seton Highland Lakes Hospital have announced the addition of two new surgeons.

Dr. Tammy Sartor and Dr. Stephen D. Scoggin are full-time surgeons with the Seton Family of Physicians at Seton Highland Lakes. They are seeing patients at the Seton Highland Lakes Specialty Clinic in Burnet.

Ms. Sartor graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science in radiation protection engineering and a master’s in nuclear engineering. She earned her medical degree at Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed her residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.

In addition to general surgery, Ms. Sartor performs advanced breast surgery, including stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsies and mammasite placement.

Scoggin received his bachelor of arts from The University of Texas and his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School. He spent a year in oncology research, completing the Julian Rickles Fellowship in Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Scoggin He also completed a predoctoral fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Scoggin is a fellow of the Ameri- can College of Surgeons, a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the Texas Surgical Society.

In addition to general surgery, he performs endoscopy procedures, and is available for diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy.
