Local church to host Beth Moore simulcast event

Women from around the world will gather Sept. 18 to hear from author and Bible teacher Beth Moore at LifeWay Women’s “Living Proof” Live Simulcast event.

First United Methodist Church and its women’s ministry will host the event locally and extend an invitation to Lampasas-area women to join them.

“We have been so blessed at how well the turnout has been for our previous simulcasts,” said Regina Muse, event coordinator. “Last year’s simulcast [in Lampasas] saw 24 different area churches represented.

“We would like to extend an invitation to all women, regardless of denomination, to join us in a day of worship. Some women may have found themselves falling away from their church and if you fit this description, please know we welcome you even more. Our goal is not for recruitment but for allowing God to speak to His children,” she said.

Beth Moore is known for her ability to apply biblical scripture to everyday life.

Worship leader Travis Cottrell and his praise team will join Mrs. Moore for the simulcast.

Contact the First United Methodist Church office at 556-5513 for ticket information. Seating is limited.

Cost for the event is $20, which includes lunch. A nursery will be provided.

Doors will open at 8 a.m., and the live broadcast begins at 9:30 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m.
