Delta Kappa Gamma sets September meeting

Julia Phillips, president of Eta Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International, attended the Area VIII Workshop in the Parker Academic Building on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus in Belton. She was one of the 74 participants.

Each chapter in the district contributed a check for $20 to cover expenses of the workshop, which adjourned before lunch. Refreshments were served.

The morning was full of sessions for chapter officers and program of work chairmen, Ms. Phillips reported.

The first meeting of the Eta Omicron Chapter will be Sept. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas, 201 W. First St.

Members are asked to be prepared to share a favorite book.
