Book signing scheduled
Author and screenwriter Glen Stephens will hold a book signing Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the County Seat restaurant on the downtown square featuring his latest novel, “Amarillo By Morning.”
The contemporary Western fiction is the story of former world champion bull rider Richard “Stick” Slaton, who re-enters the PRCA circuit after 20 years.
Books will be available for purchase Saturday in advance of the novel’s formal Nov. 15 release date.
Stephens also will have available copies of the movie “River’s End,” which he wrote and co-produced. Filmed in Menard, the movie was the subject of a Dispatch Record feature story in July 2004, when local resident Brad Goen served on the sound crew during filming.
Stephens, a Marble Falls High School graduate and former Menard resident, and his wife recently moved to Lampasas County.
