Ms. Shaw
Kimberly Anne Shaw, 25, of Lampasas passed away Aug. 27, 2010, at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple after a battle with a rare form of cancer.
Funeral services were Aug. 29 at Grace Fellowship in Lampasas with Alvin Slaughter officiating. Burial was Aug. 30 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Grand Prairie.
Ms. Shaw was born April 30, 1985 in Midland, the daughter of Jay Shaw and Karen Sutton.
She graduated from Lampasas High School in 2003, where she was a member of the Flames drill team, the National Honor Society and in the top 10 percent of her class.
She later earned an associate of applied science degree in radiology from McLennan Community College in Waco.
Survivors are a son, Barrett Cantu; Barrett’s father, Matthew Cantu, and his parents, JoAnn and Freddie Cantu of Waco; her mother, Karen Kelley of Lampasas; stepfather William Kelley of Lometa; her father of Midland; five sisters, Shelby Kelley of Lampasas, Crystal Shaw of Midland, Alyssa Shaw of Midland, Kayla Maxwell of Germany and Kassie Kepler of Lampasas; a brother, Cole Kelley, of El Paso; grandparents, Barbara and Robert Clack of Midland, Richard Sutton of Temple, Donna and Jim Shaw of Midland, and Sissy and Earl Kelley of Lometa; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
An educational fund has been established for Barrett Cantu at Wells Fargo Bank, 1101 Buchanan Dr. in Burnet.
