Computer needed for granddaughter
My name is Nancy Stewart, and I’m from San Saba. My second-oldest granddaughter is Jesika Rae Seale from Lampasas. She joined the Army Reserves when she was 16 years old. When 17, her summer was spent in Boot Camp in South Carolina. She came home, finished her senior year with honors and is now at Fort Rucker, Ala. She is learning how to bring in helicopters from the tower. She plans on going to nursing school to be a flight nurse. Jesika would be embarrassed if she knew what I was doing because she needs a laptop for her schooling, and she has no credit.
If Lampasas cares about their students like San Saba, there are organizations and people with hearts out there that would help Jesika if they only knew.
Jesika is a young Christian woman, and it breaks my heart to know that I can’t just go out and buy her one; we live on Social Security. God blessed us with four granddaughters before we got our first grandson, and we’re proud to see that the girls care about their country and are willing to serve.
Our oldest granddaughter joined the Navy in 2005, served on the USS George Washington, spent two years in Japan and just this week was sent to Washington State to await discharge. She was in nuclear power.
You can contact your local high school to check Jesika’s grades, etc. She is a girl that Lampasas can be proud to call their own.
As grandparents, we would like to ask the churches in the county to keep Jesika in their prayers, and we believe if there is a need then God will work through each of us to see it happen.
I thank you for your time and if this comes to pass, maybe when she comes in October you all can give it to her and make her feel special to her county folks.
Kara (number 1) was awarded a medal for helping save four shipmates when the USS George Washington had three fires break out. I told my county and during repairs, Kara came home, and the county fathers and judge declared the day in her honor, and the city gave her a key to the city. It did wonders for Kara, and that kept her going through the two operations she underwent while in Japan. Thanks and God bless you.
