Refugio Hernandez, 42, of Lometa, was sentenced Aug. 20 to six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division probated to six years for driving while intoxicated third or more. He also was fined $1,000.
Action occurred in 27th District Court with Judge Phillip Zeigler presiding.
In other court action, Thomas Ed Maultsby, 49, of Copperas Cove, was sentenced to two years in the TDCJID, probated to five years. He also was fined $1,000 and ordered to have no contact with a co-defendant.
Maultsby was charged with possession of a controlled substance over one gram and under four grams.
The court announced it would dismiss a motion to adjudicate filed in a case that involves Sean Matthew Reed, 19, of Lampasas. Reed’s probation for delivery of marijuana over one-quarter ounce and under five pounds was amended. He was ordered to attend an Intermediate Sanction Facility.
Paul Brian Crawford, 24, of Waco was sentenced to 16 months in state jail, and he was credited with having served 355 days for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was fined $575 and ordered to make restitution of $330.
In other action:
· The state agreed to reset a plea by Joab Fuentes, 24, of Kempner, to Sept. 3. Fuentes is charged with possession of a controlled substance under one gram.
· A jury announcement is scheduled for Sept. 3 for Thomas Dean Edwards, 54, of Gatesville, charged with possession of a controlled substance under one gram. Edwards is slated for a Sept. 13 jury trial.
· The state agreed to reset an adjudication announcement to Sept. 3 for David Scott Barczi, 32, of Lampasas, charged with harassment of a public servant.
· A pretrial hearing was reset to Sept. 3 for John Maldonado, 58, of Lampasas, for assault family/ household member with previous conviction.
· Arraignment of Michael Cornell Jones, 28, of Lampasas, for assault family/household member with previous conviction was reset to Sept. 10.
· A pretrial hearing for Jones, also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, was reset to Sept. 10.
· An Oct. 15 jury announcement was scheduled for Scott Michael Rosas, 39, of Lampasas, for indecency with a child/exposure. The defendant is slated for an Oct. 25 jury trial.

Craig Edward Scott, 22, of Kempner, was found guilty of burglary of a habitation and was sentenced to 11 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division.
Action occurred Aug. 13 in 27th District Court with Judge Joe Carroll presiding.
Scott also was found guilty of arson and was sentenced to 11 years in the TDCJID. The two sentences will run concurrently.
The probation of Joshua Ray Tibbits, 19, of Round Rock, was revoked, and he was sentenced to six years in the TDCJID, with credit for time served. He had been on probation for burglary of a habitation. Tibbits was ordered to make restitution and pay court costs and attorney’s fees.
The attorney for Anthony Wayne Faught, 41, of Lampasas, charged with driving while intoxicated third or more, filed a motion to suppress. A ruling on the motion is set for Sept. 3.
Faught’s attorney also filed a motion to suppress in a separate case in which Faught is charged with injury child/elderly/disabled with intent for bodily injury. A ruling on the motion is slated for Sept. 3.
An adjudication hearing was reset for Sept. 10 for Katina Jean Ayala, 37, of Atascosa, Texas, who is on probation for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
Michael John Rynard, 40, is scheduled for a probation revocation announcement Sept. 17. Rynard is on probation for DWI and felony repetition.
Barbara Kay Howard, 43, of Granite Shoals, is set to enter a plea Sept. 17. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance over one gram and under four grams.
Also on Sept. 17, Kriste Marie Kelly, 25, of Copperas Cove, is to enter a plea for possession of a controlled substance under one gram.
Charles Bob Bratton, 62, of Lampasas, is to enter a plea Oct. 15 for DWI third or more.
A jury announcement is scheduled for Oct. 15 for Kenneth Ray Peeples, 33, of Lampasas, charged with sexual assault of a child. A jury trial is set for Oct. 25.
The court dismissed a motion to adjudicate in the case of Matthew Bradley Harris, 27, of Elgin. Harris still is on probation for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.
