Funeral services are Aug. 24, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel for Frances Castruita of Lampasas. She died Aug. 20 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital at the age of 64.

Mrs. Castruita’s body will be cremated after the services.

Born Sept. 17, 1945, in Lampasas, she was the daughter of Hilario Maceyra and Luisa Perez Maceyra. She was married to Gregorio Castruita.

Mrs. Castruita was employed as a CNA and provided home health care to local families.

She is survived by her husband of Lampasas; four daughters, Joann Cejay of Kempner, Rachel Floyd of Harker Heights, Lydia Sapien of Lampasas and Victoria Edge of Kempner; a son, Mike Edge of Missouri; three brothers, Bill Maceyra, Manuel Maceyra and Pete Maceyra, all of Lampasas; and sister Eugena Johnson of Dallas.

Mrs. Castruita was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Thurston; a sister, Anita Matias; and by a half-sister, Lupe Bocanegra.
