The Democratic Women’s Association of Lampasas invites the public to help celebrate the group’s 10th annual Labor Day picnic at the Hancock Park golf course pavilion.

Kurt Kuhn, candidate for 3rd Court of Appeals, will speak along with representatives for Bill White, candidate for governor; Barbara Ann Radnosky, candidate for attor- ney general; and Jeff Weems, candidate for Railroad Commissioner.

The picnic will begin at 11:30 a.m. with an auction of cakes. Auctioneer will be Charley Fields. Last year’s “star” was Laurabeth Hicks’ cupcakes, and she is making them again this year.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served after the auction.
