At 5 p.m. tonight, the Briggs Community Center will host a Back-to-School Bash.

Bounce houses, a water slide, dunking booths, rock wall, petting zoo, food, homemade ice cream and musical entertainment will be offered. A dance featuring Joe Johns and The Faded Rose Band will start at 7 p.m.

The event is a fund-raiser for the community playground, which is in need of additional gravel and more equipment. Plans also include the addition of an outside restroom and a water fountain for the playground.
