Funeral services for Clydola “Dot” Powers, 74, of McMahan are Aug. 13, 2010, at 10 a.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home’s Memorial Chapel in Lockhart. Burial will follow at Lockhart Municipal Burial Park.

Mrs. Powers died Aug. 7.

She was born Aug. 10, 1935, in San Saba County, to Veston and Ollie Hensley Luster.

She married W.O. (Cowboy) Powers on July 17, 1954, in Monahans, and they lived in San Antonio, San Angelo, Del Rio, Castroville, Uvalde, Tulia, Lampasas and Burnet.

After her husband’s retirement from the Goodrich Ranch, the couple moved to McMahan.

Mrs. Powers enjoyed painting, sewing, bowling, waterskiing and square dancing.

She is survived by her husband of McMahan; children, Debra Skeen and husband, Chuck, of McAllen, Jack Powers and wife, Dawn, of San Antonio, David Powers and wife, Ronda, of McMahan, and Louan San Miguel of Hereford; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, V.J. Luster.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Lee Powers; and a sister, Mary Fangman.
