The Lady Badgers will get their first taste of action this weekend when they travel to Gatesville and Cameron for preseason scrimmages.
The freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams will each play three matches today at Gatesville with the varsity scheduled to play against Taylor, Gatesville and Killeen at 4 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
The four-team scrimmage begins for all levels at 3 p.m.
Saturday morning, the teams will travel to Cameron where the matches will begin at 8 a.m.
Lampasas will host a dual match against Shoemaker and Manor Tuesday starting at 4 p.m. The varsity will begin play at 7 p.m.
FOOTBAll
Season tickets for the 2010 Lampasas Badgers varsity football season are available.
Tickets will be available to the public at the Lampasas High School athletic office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
No season tickets will be sold after Thursday.

LMS
Lampasas Middle School football players will receive their equipment on Aug. 19 and Aug. 21. The LMS gym will be open from 4-8 p.m. Aug. 19 and 8 a.m. to noon on Aug. 21.
Practice for all teams will begin on the first day of school (Aug. 23). Seventh-graders are scheduled from 6:50-7:50 a.m., and eighth-graders will practice from 3-5 p.m.
The first day in pads will be Aug. 28.

All seventh- and eighth-grade students involved with Lady Badger athletics will receive their workout clothes for the upcoming school year on Wednesday at Bozarth-Fowler Gymnasium.
Athletes must have a physical on file or need to bring one with them to receive clothes.
GOlf
A golf tournament benefiting the LHS golf program will be held at Delaware Springs Golf Course Sunday at 1 p.m.
Entry fee for the twoperson shamble-style event, a combination of scramble and stroke play, is $50 per person and includes cart, green fees and dinner.

SOCCER
The Lampasas Soccer Association will be conducting an “E” license coaching course Aug. 13-15 at Lampasas Middle School and the Gavin Garrett Soccer Park.
There are no prerequisites, but individuals must email the following information to jerry. barbero@leanderisd.org: name, email address, phone number, address, organization and club currently coaching, and driver’s licence number.
For the course, participants will need to bring a ball, water, proper soccer equipment, and writing utensil.
All candidates must complete the required take-home tests on laws, and care and prevention available at www.USSoccer. com.
Cost for the course is $85 payable to Lampasas Soccer Association (2948 County Road 3430, Lampasas, TX, 76550).
