Pretty in pink
It’s a good thing heat doesn’t deter these beauties. Even with 100-plus-degree heat, this trichocereus was in full bloom at a Lometa garden recently. The cacti, which don’t do well in the cold, can exist without water or fertilizer after they are established. PHOTO BY CHERI JAY-WIENECKE
