Rangeland seminar set

Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Mills County will conduct seminar on “Improving our rangelands” in Mills County on Monday.

Some of the top rangeland experts will be on hand to include Dr. Charles “Butch” Taylor, professor, regents fellow, and AgriLife Research Station superintendent, Sonora, “How to Utilize Prescribed Fire to Improve Rangeland Health; Dr. Allan McGinty, professor and AgriLife Extension specialist, ecosystem science, San Angelo, “Secrets for Effective Brush Control”; Dr. David R. Drake, associate professor and Extension specialist, agronomy, San Angelo, “Small Grains for Fall Planting”; and Tom Guthrie, Mills County AgriLife Extension agent, “Rangeland Insect Update.”

The program is at the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Goldthwaite, 1011 Hutchings St. Registration is at 8:30 a.m., and the program is at a.m. The $10 fee includes lunch.
