Faith Ellen Cook, 61, of Brownwood died July 30, 2010, at the Brownwood hospital.

Graveside services were Aug. 1 at Wallace Creek Cemetery at San Saba.

Mrs. Cook was born Sept. 3, 1948, in Austin, the daughter of John M. and Violet Shock Lerned.

She married Stephen Cook on Sept. 9, 1965.

Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and a Baptist. She also studied with Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She had lived in Lampasas for several years while working at Design Foods, and had resided in San Saba for the last nine years.

Survivors include her husband of San Saba; two sons and their wives, Bobby Joe and Alicia Cook of Palacios, and Reyce Janon and Mary Cook of Lampasas; one daughter and her husband, Catherine Elizabeth and Jimmy West of San Saba; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Tomko and Grace Burt.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Maxalene Crum; and a brother, John “Ben” Lerned.
