Mr. McAndrew
Florence resident Modell L. McAndrew, 89, died July 27, 2010, at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date. The body will be cremated.
Mr. McAndrew was born Nov. 17, 1920, at Briggs, the son of Emmon L. and Edna J. Williams McAndrew.
He became a member of the Mahomet Christian Church as a teen. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and spent the remainder of his life ranching in the Briggs and Florence areas.
Survivors include three sons, Kevin McAndrew and wife, Faith, of Florence, Darren McAndrew and wife, Tami, of Gatesville, and Kiley McAndrew of New York; one daughter, Drema Morrison and husband, David, of Killeen; one sister, Norma Schumann and husband, Calvin, of Stonewall; two brothers, Lyall McAndrew and wife, Agnes, of Florence, and Dewayne McAndrew and wife, Donene, of Idaho; and five grandchildren, Lauren Morrison, Lyndsey Morrison, Lacy Morrison, Erin McAndrew and Evan McAndrew.
