Stabbing at AMVETS reported

`Two persons were arrested at the scene of a stabbing Friday at 11:27 p.m. at AMVETS Post 80, 300 U.S. Highway 281 South.

A news release from the Lampasas Police Department stated Cpl. Jase Herring and officers Carl Boatright, Jeremy Stewart and Fidel Morua responded to the call.

When officers arrived, they were told a fight had occurred inside the veterans’ post and two males had been stabbed.

Capital Ambulance transported a 32-year-old male to Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple with stab wounds to the arm and a 37- year-old male to Rollins Brook Community Hospital with stab wounds to the leg.

Arrested were Ramon Castro, 32, for public intoxication, and Lorena Caryn Reyna, 37, for interference with duties of a public servant.

All parties involved are Lampasas residents. The incident is under investigation by police.
