Park dedication


A dedication ceremony was held recently and a monument unveiled at Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park in Kempner. Top photo: Kempner Mayor Gene Isenhour welcomed about 75 guests to the ceremony honoring Mrs. Tucker for her many contributions to the community. She was one of the first councilmembers, serving a three-year term, and was a member of the Kempner Volunteer Fire Department. In addition, Mrs. Tucker was founder and owner of the Kempner Brick Oven for many years.
