The Tea Party battle plan

Ever faced a bully and known without a doubt you couldn’t do anything but turn and walk away? Imagine Obama as the big bully on the block standing face to face with all of us conservatives and saying: “You don’t like it? What you gonna do about it?”

Now that we’re organized and no longer helpless, we’re going to take back control of Congress this November by playing the same deck of marked cards that the bully and his team used to get elected in 2008.

We’re going to ask our pastors to stand in the pulpit every Sunday until Election Day and demand everyone who believes this is One Nation Under God to actively prevent it from becoming One Nation Without God. We’re going to organize local groups all over the country to travel to the congressional districts currently controlled by congressional traitors to America. We’re going to rally with local Tea Party groups in those districts and campaign with their conservative candidates. We’re going to stand and applaud whenever their candidate takes the pledge to support our conservative ideas. We’re going to get out the voters by letting them know their vote will count toward saving our country and remind them that everyone wants to leave this country a better place for our children and grandchildren.

On Sept. 12, 2009, 1.8 million people, including myself, traveled to the Washington, D.C. protest. Today, I’m going to ask those who have planned to go to D.C. this year to forego the trip and instead contribute their time and money to support a local conservative congressional candidate’s campaign. If each of us spent $400 on the trip to D.C., the total spent was $720 million. That would buy a lot of elections. We need to gain 40 seats to win the House majority and 10 seats in the Senate. If we were to forego the trip this year and instead contribute half that amount to the 2010 campaigns, we could spend $7.2 million for each of the 50 seats needed to win control of Congress. That’s the way we can make a difference and send Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to the back of the room or preferably back home to retire.

If not already a member, join a Tea Party group in your community and support these ideas. Each of us has abilities that can be used, so please become an active participant for the good of this country. We have this one last chance to change the direction our country is going, and we must make good use of it. Facing your children and grandchildren, would it be better to say you gave it your all than to Confess you did nothing for your country?
