Emil Moerbe, 88, died July 21, 2010. A memorial service was July 24 at Faith Lutheran Church in Lampasas.

Mr. Moerbe was born May 19, 1922, in Giddings, the son of Ernest and Alma Czymskey Moerbe.

He spent most of his life as a commercial construction worker. He was a member of VFW Post 8539 in Lampasas and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Muguerza and husband, Manny of Houston; a sister, Adeline Wilson of Lampasas; a grandson, Travis Muguerza of Austin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Moerbe; two infant sons; six brothers; and two sisters.
