School districts set registrations

Registration for all new students entering prekindergarten through 12th grade in the Lampasas Independent School District is Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lampasas High School on U.S. Highway 281 South.

The student’s birth certificate, Social Security number, shot record and proof of residency is required.

In addition, several shot clinics will be offered to get students ready for the new school year, which begins Aug. 23.

Clinics will be available Thursday during registration, and at Meet the Teacher events Aug. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Lampasas Middle School and Lampasas High School, and Aug. 19 from 5-6 p.m. at Taylor Creek Elementary, Kline Whitis Elementary and Hanna Springs Elementary schools.

In addition, shot clinics will be offered through the Texas Department of Public Health at 500 E. Eighth St. on Aug. 13 and Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Phone 556- 5421 for information.

Lometa Independent School District will hold registration for students on the following schedule:

• High school freshmen and sophomores, Monday at 9 a.m.

• High school juniors and seniors, Aug. 6 at 9 a.m.

All other students new to the district may register between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays beginning Monday.

To register, please bring the student’s shot record, Social Security number, birth certificate and proof of residency.
