Haugland-Langley

Couple exchange wedding vows in Montana

Kiley Lynn Haugland and former Lampasas resident Justin Cody Langley, both of Weatherford, exchanged wedding vows in a June 26, 2010, backyard ceremony at Belgrade, Mont.

The Rev. Buck Rogers of Midland officiated the double-ring evening ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bill Haugland and Stacy Nelson of Montana.

She is the granddaughter of Arlene Haugland and the late Bob Haugland, and Rose Nelson and Gearld O’Fallon, all of Montana.

The groom’s parents are Robert Langley of Alvarado, and Christy Posch of Grapevine. He is the grandson of George and Mary Ann Langley of Lampasas, and O.D. and Susie Edwards of Weatherford. He is the great-grandson of Louise Holbert of Lampasas.

Musical selections included “At Last” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

The ceremony was performed outdoors. Pots of red petunias hanging from shepherd’s hooks surrounded the ceremony site.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

She chose an A-line white satin, strapless dress. The bodice of the floor-length gown was covered with swirls of fabric and beading with pleating at the waist.

The skirt had softly-draped tiers extending into a train.

The bride’s short birdcage veil was accented by soft, white feathers on one side.

She carried a bouquet of peacock feathers and red roses tied with turquoise ribbon.

Matron of honor was Celeste Knipping, sister of the bride, of Minnesota.

Bridesmaids were Liza Heer and Carey Bowen, both of Montana.

Attendants wore royal red, strapless tea-length dresses. They carried bouquets of white flowers and peacock feathers.

Best man was Kevin Harris of Marble Falls.

Groomsmen were Christian Langley, brother of the groom, of Grapevine, and Chris Yates of Weatherford.

Ushers were Colby Haugland, the bride’s brother of Montana, and Chris Mantia of Lampasas, the groom’s cousin.

Ring bearer was Cayson Bowman of Montana.

Family and friends of the bride served in the houseparty.

After the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner and dance. The bride and groom were driven from the ceremony site to the reception hall in a horse and buggy.

The reception hall was decorated with western boots filled with peacock flowers and feathers.

The bride’s three-tiered cake was topped with a miniature pewter statue of a cowboy and cowgirl on horseback. Miniature peacock feathers were around the bottom of the cake.

The couple is at home in Weatherford.

The bride earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology in 2007 from Montana State University. She attends John Peter Smith School of Nursing and is employed by John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The groom, a 2002 Lampasas High School graduate, is employed by Caylor Services Inc. Oil Co. in Glen Rose.

The groom’s father hosted a rehearsal dinner in Willow Creek, Mont., prior to the ceremony.
