Old and new
Texas is the leading producer of older sources of energy such as oil. The state also produces more electrical energy from new windmills than any other state. Power lines to transmit windmill electricity across Texas recently have been the source of controversy. The owner of this wheat field in Nolan County, however, says he is fortunate that in addition to income from agricultural crops, he also derives income from oil and windmill leases.
