Lampasas County residents who plan to burn piles of brush or other material still have opportunities to do so, thanks to recent rains. Although a countywide burn ban was set to take effect last Thursday, it now is scheduled to become effective Friday at 6 p.m. Burn ban notices will be posted at www.lampasasdispatchrecord.com.
